Vermec is the gearless traction machine range from Varsha Engineers, built for modern elevators. It combines Italian technology with precision manufacturing in our own plant.

Every machine is designed for smooth, efficient operation and long service life, from a 272 kg home lift to a 3000 kg goods elevator. Permanent-magnet motors need no gearbox oil, run quieter and use far less energy than geared machines.

01Traction sheave
CNC-machined grooves for 8 mm ropes, 200 to 400 mm diameter.
02Safety brake
110 V DC electromagnetic brake acting directly on the sheave.
03Ribbed housing
IP40 enclosure, rated for S5 (40%) intermittent duty.
04Copper stator
Wound and tested in-house. F-class insulation.
05Permanent-magnet rotor
Direct drive at 96–209 rpm. No gearbox, no oil, no gear losses.
06Encoder
Feeds rotor position and speed to the lift controller.

CNC-machined grooves for 8 mm ropes, 200 to 400 mm diameter.

From raw casting to load-tested machine, under one roof.

Machining, winding, assembly and testing all happen in our Kathwada GIDC plant, so quality is controlled at every step.

Step 1
Engineering and design
Electromagnetic and mechanical design of each PMSM frame, developed with our Italian technology partner.
Step 2
CNC machining
Housings, shafts and sheaves are machined in-house on CNC turning, vertical milling, horizontal machining and vertical turning centres.
Step 3
Stator winding
Copper windings are produced and tested on dedicated winding test equipment for consistent electrical performance.
Step 4
Assembly
Rotor, stator, sheave, brake and encoder are assembled and aligned to tight tolerances.
Step 5
On-load PMSM testing
Every machine runs on a load test rig. Current, speed, noise and temperature are logged and analysed.
Step 6
Dispatch
Machines are packed for domestic delivery or export to customers in 12 countries.
